Octavian is delighted to be supporting the first ever London Wine Week as its Official Storage Partner.
How to Start a Fine Wine Collection: that is the title of our seminar being held at Hedonism Wines in Mayfair on Tuesday 3rd June, where guests will be treated to Pol Roger Champagne and Vallebona charcuterie and cheese, before sitting down to learn all about fine wine collecting. The seminar will take guests through the necessary steps to begin one’s own collection, including tips and common pitfalls, as well as a tasting of two vintage wines.
We will be tasting a 2005 Château Palmer, and a 2001 Chambolle Musigny from Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé. This will help budding collectors begin to get an idea of their preferences when it comes to the two mainstays of fine wine collecting: Bordeaux and Burgundy.
Tickets cost £38 and are strictly limited to ensure guests have the opportunity to speak with Octavian’s Chairman, Nigel Jagger, as well as Strategy Consultant, Ella Lister, who will be leading the seminar. As well as the Champagne reception and tasting, the ticket price also includes a Hedonism tasting card with £10 credit for sampling wines from their Enomatic machines, as well as an Octavian storage account minimum charge waiver for the first year, worth £112. This is an unprecedented opportunity for new collectors to purchase wine and build up their collection over the course of a year up to a level where storage rates become more economical.
