Coming soon is an added-value ‘Exchange’ feature that will enable trading within a closed peer-to-peer environment, negating the need to send cases to other warehouses in order to release value. As part of this update, customers will have the ability to see how long each case has been in our care, irrespective of how long it has been in a customer’s account. This will provide an effective tool when most cases bought and sold on the secondary market are done so through either availability or reputation rather than the storage history of the case – a very important feature in its current valuation.
When polled, 67% of our customers stated they would pay more for an Octavian stored® case. Our new ‘Exchange’ functionality will enable us to test this statistic and demonstrate that our wine storage pays for itself.
